MEET

My initial visit usually takes around an hour.  We can talk through your requirements and I can assess your outdoor space. 

Following this meeting I will send you a written brief to confirm your requirements and an outline of my costs.

Initial consultations are free, if local. Otherwise expenses including time and travel may be charged.

Information Gathering

Getting to know the garden: I do a site survey and analysis to determine levels, dimensions, drainage, aspect, soil ph and other relevant issues. 

Using the information gathered I draw up a scaled site plan.

A large or complicated site may require a chartered surveyor.

Concept plans

I sketch up different layouts and ideas for your garden, and produce one or more concept plans.

I then arrange a meeting to present and discuss these plans with you. We will look at the options and costs of materials and/or products included in the design .

FINAL PLAN

I make any necessary revisions to my concept drawings and produce a final design drawing. I provide you with copies of this plan, a specification document outlining requirements for materials, standards and workmanship, plus any other documentation needed for tendering purposes.
